Eye Sight

I think Mr Ham has gone slightly blind, my poor little man!
When im near his cage he never notices like he used to unles i make a sound!
He will be 2 yrs in March so hes getting on abit!

Maybe a silly question but do hammies tend to get bad eye sight or go blind with age?

It is certainly quite common for them to worsen in sight as they age, just like humans.
But they tend to cope very well as they rely on mainly smell and sound anyway
