The "wet" in wet tail is due to diarrhoea. There will be a distinctive, unpleasent, pooey smell and her fur will be matted with feaces.
If her fur is just damp, then it may be that there is a lot of condensation in the nest, or she is urinating and sitting in it so she doesn't have to leave the babies.
She ate the last babies, they were so weak.
Now she's fine, she's playing with me right now.
The vet is thinking of her milk as the problem now.
Because she've been always fine, less the babies.
I'm sorry Cristina, but sometimes mum can sense things that we cant see.
Did her nipples look normal, sometimes they can become red and sore and that causes her pain when the pups are feeding, or as you say, she may not have been producing enough milk.

Re: I'm afraid. Wet-Tail
If a mother disposes of dead pups by eating them they often have looseness and wetness until the overload of animal protein is through the digestive system. Once she is back to normal food it normally reverts to normal.
Mum knows best and there must have been a reason for her culling them. It is not uncommon but very upsetting
