Music?
See, I have a tendency to BLAST music, extremely loud. When I wake up, when I get home from school, and basically the rest of the night until I go to bed. I play it loud enough so that I can hear it from the room across the house when I'm using the computer (which I don't use anymore since I got a laptop, so the music is a bit less loud now since I stay in the same room as it). Is this bad for the hamsters?
Can it hurt their ears?
Also another random question: Is it okay to use flash on my camera when taking pictures of them? Because If I don't use flash the picture is blurry ):

Re: Music?
I used to play music in my room until I got Panda. I just figured since hamsters have better hearing than us and they sleep during the day I just thought it'd be annoying for them. I don't know if it is actually bad for them though. I'm not sure about camera flashes either..

Re: Music?
I dont think its good, sorry. I know i would not like someone blasting music all night when i sleep. Your hamster sleeps during day I would keep it down.
As for the flash, i heard that if you do it only occasionally then its ok. But other ppl might have different opinions

Re: Music?
It's probably not good for either of you to blast music, why not get some headphones.
Have you tried using macro mode on your camera?

Re: Music?
Flash won't bother a hamster.
Concerning the music, would headphones be a possibility? Like a few members mentioned above, the constant, loud noise could bother your hamster. I'm sure if the blasting of the music was to only occur be every once in a while that would be fine but if you could refrain from constantly blasting it when you're home, your hamster would be very thankful. ^-^

Re: Music?
I dont think the flash bothers them too much, but the loud music certianly will, maybe some headphones as suggested will help. Hammies dont like sudden loud noises as it makes them scared.

Re: Music?
Since getting my hammy and gerbils I've tried to keep my music and tv volume as low as possible so as not to disturb them.
