Cut on testicles

When I woke up yesterday, Sammy was missing.

The books, shoebox filled with old CDs and an old shirt I used to block the gap
underneath my bedroom door was all out of place.

Sammy must have moved everything and gone through the gap.

I was looking for him all morning but I couldn't find him anywhere. I had a feeling he was either hiding in the kitchen or down the basement. I know I had to wait til 9 pm to look for him because he wakes up around that time.

So I decided to go out and have dinner with my friends to kill time.

When I came home, I saw him back in his cage!!

my mom told me that my dad found him by the stairs a few hours ago while I was out. my mom said Sammy was so thirsty and hungry and he ate like theres no tomorrow. he even stuffed his cheeks and he barely does that! this is like the third time I see him do it.

Anyway, I was examining him. I was scared he might have hurt himself and I found a cut/red spot on his testicles (that were probably bleeding a few hours ago) looks liek his balls got poked by something really sharp.

I'm worried about his wound. Should I put some kind of ointment on it or just let it heal by itself?

I would just keep an eye on the cut and if it shows any signs of infection take him to the vets for some anti-b's.

Ive found that when hamsters cut themselfs they tend to heal up very fast.

I would leave it to heal now. Just watch for any swelling or oozing of pus which may indicate an infection and if this happens then be sure to see a vet for treatment.

I hope he will be alright Chubchub! Any idea how he escaped to prevent this in the future?

and i am also glad he you found him! My friend's Hamster was found in his little Sister's doll house and the little doll banister had got lodged through his head

I'm glad he has returned safely and I hope he has a quick recovery

When my Hamster escaped she chewed my freshly laid carpet..... But my Mum and Dad dont know about that....

awww poor little ham!

what is it with Hamsters and carpet? i have no carpet in the corners of the room due to them digging around

Haha my mum and dad would go mad... cos i have a big Bedroom and it cost like 150quid to be carpeted:L! and thats also with my Dad fitting it himself... cos it would be like real expensive to get a guy to do it XD

oh ok i'll leave it for now. i'll keep an eye for any swelling or oozing of pus. i really hope his wound won't get infected.

i think i worry too much >.< i feel like i only post when theres something wrong with my hamsters.

i have no carpet corners in my room either i hope his wound won't get an infection

yeahh i'm sooo glad my dad found him! he said sammy was in the middle of the stairs curled up into a ball as if waiting to be found ^_^

when i saw him back inside his cage he was so hyper and he seemed so prepared (stuffed his cheeks just in case he would get hungry) to go on another adventure and explore other dark corners in the house

i knew he was waiting for me to let him out he kept staring at me and climbing the bars but i was so mad at him for making me worry like that and told he was him GROUNDED!
