Many thanks for the kind words, everyone.

I also thought it might be a stroke, although she was barely a year old, so a long way off "old" for a hamster and most of the posts I'd read seemed to suggest that it was usually the back legs that were affected. I think I was really wondering about the funny rusty coloured wet patches, and whether they were a warning sign of something that I missed?

She's there with my Bo and Jangles taking turns running in the wheel and sharing a slice of cucumber..i'm ever so sorry for the loss, i put up a memorial in my spare room. it has a cross with their names on and their favourite toy next to it... take care ok...
