How to make sure hamster ball lids dont ping off...?
might get my 2 robos Pip and Pop a ball each but am extremely nervus becus i do not want them to master the art of pinging open the lid of the ball by charging full speed into a wall - like my syrian did. i mean catching my syrian who was playing hide and seek with me was not very funny - or very easy. um catching 2 very fast nowhere near as tame as my syrians are another thing...well they are tame but wont like come to my voice! might fasten it with like sellotape or something but its's gonna be such a bother every time :L how do you do yours? thanks!

My Smudge escaped from his ball recently so what I have taken to doing is using a bit of sellotape to ensure the lid won't come off.

Duct tape works well too Ive locked my one end of the ball tight by turning it passed the stop point so it jams and only use the one end now

i dont see why they dont change the design of the balls so that it doesnt always burst open :L what i'm worried of now - now that one of my balls has jammed tight is that it will jam with the hamster IN it - maybe i'll just stick with wheels lol XD

no as long as your careful you wont get it jammed, and also if you twist hard the lid will come off it doesnt lock like its been superglued lol, just enough to stop it popping open

Masking tape is good as it peels off easily but stays on when the hams are in the ball

I will have to try some masking tape. I use sellotape at the moment and it is difficult to get off.
