Hi,
Thanks for all of your replies and opinions. I think I'll go take a look anyways, 'cause I might find some good toys at least. I always have a cuddle of the hamms I want to get, so I've never known a place not let you hold them. Makes sence though. 'Cause I'm Anthropophobic I can't talk to anyone myself, but my mam knows the right quiestions to ask, and will help me out there. And she always asks me if I want to ask something and will ask it for me.
I do have to admit that my step-sisters hammie is not like the kind of hammie I'd expect from Pets At Home. He's a real nut : ) Even if he's asleep in bed he'll come to see if he hears anyone walk into the room. I think that's lovely, and it does show that he must have been well loved before she got him. So, with that in mind I think I will have a look-see. Haven't been since I was just a kid.

Tish36, Kitty was my hammie : ) It was short for Kitkat Chunky Caramel!... 'cause I seem to have a bit of a food theme going with my previous two being called Cookie and Biscuit. Her colours reminded me of a Kitkat bar, so that was her name. Mad isn't it?
I did have a kitten who was killed in a hit-and-run though. Her name was Mitzy. She was as mad as, and I still miss her today. Also, one of my cats who lived with my mam has just died recently. Her name was Suki. She was nineteen years old.

19 is a great age for a puss! It horrible loosing a pet, I know how hard it can be.

The p@h near me let me hold Boris before buying him - but he was from the adoption centre, so I dont know if they have different rules for that??

Good luck with your trip to P@h, I always come out with a load of toys even though I dont really need any more! I just cant resist! And hhopefully you will find a little fluff that will capture your heart!

Thank you Hope.

Yeah, Suki was a good age... and she had already had cancer a few years back that the vet warned might well come back. But it never did : )

I'm going to put up an update on my trip to Pets At Home thismorning some time.

I've put an update up in a different post called 'My li'l munchkins' : )

The lady that was showing me the little hamms was very grumpy. She was acting like we were getting in her way. I thought it was just her, but maybe not. And although she did ask a lot of questions about how they'd be kept, she didn't even tell me their sex... although it's ticked on the sheet of paper I got.
