Question Hello, I have a temperature question..

I'm in the USA, and have two Chinese hamsters. It's during the summer here, and I was wondering about temps. My apartment is upstairs and does seem to stay hotter. I'm using a temp. reader and inside the cage, which is a plastic tote, will read 80 something F. Not all the time, it just depends on the day, time of day, and if I have had the a.c. on. Anyway, my point is.. some days even if I have not used the a.c., 80 F seems cooler to me, and then other days 80 F seems very hot and I'll need to turn the a.c. on. This morning, the cage temp is reading 78.4 F, which I feel like it seems like a cooler 78. Is it ok if cage temp is 80 F, as long as it feels like it's cooler than that ?
