What do you think of this wheel?
I'm looking for a new wheel as I've realised my silent spinner is too small for my Syrian. I came across this one and it looks really interesting. What do you think?

well wouldn't your ham want to pee on it because it's wood? then he/she may chew on it? I dunno, I've never liked wooden wheels.

Re: What do you think of this wheel?
I was going to go for that - my hamster isnt a chewer, but he loves doing his buisness in his wheel And wee would stain, and smell!
In the end, i went with a JR Wodent Wheel, and i couldnt be happier with it! Its quiet, sturdy, easy to take apart.

Re: What do you think of this wheel?
I was worried about chewing and staining -a wodent wheel might be best!
Talking about pee - after all that headache of potty training Jenga she's randomly started peeing in a different corner lastnight! Grrr

Re: What do you think of this wheel?
You could plasti coat it so the pee doesnt absorb - then you would be able to wipe it out. I ahve heard good things about this wheel, but have neverh ad one myself.

Am tempted by this wheel too, am still undecided on whether to get this, the wodent wheel or the trixie or whatever it was called (the cheapy wodent wheel) for Daisy and Bella.

Re: What do you think of this wheel?
I got a Junior Wodent Wheel for my ham Snickers and it is totally silent, all you can hear is her little paws running along. I would definately reccomend it!

Re: What do you think of this wheel?
Porridges wodent wheel is not silent so I do like the look of this one. And like hope said plasticote would solve the problem.
But he doesn't tend to mess in his wheel anyway
