Default Keeping hamster warm

In London temperatures have dropped. I can't afford to have heating on all th time so trying to find ways to keep my little Poot (russian dwarf) warm.

She is in a deltof, is there anything I can line the bottom glass with to keep the chill off? Newspaper? She has lots of bedding so she can make burrows, I have ordered her a little cosy pouch and more bathing sand so her little feet wont touch the glass.

Any tips to keep her cosy appreciated!

you could put cardboard around the outside of the cage or towels and blankets to help insulate it.

You could maybe put a hemp mat in the bottom of the cage too.
