What is your cage issue and what cage are you using for your hammies? Perhaps someone can help?

Re: Happy Hamster, Happy Owner.
I'm completely neurotic with my new Syrian so its refreshing to read that I'm not alone! I've now had her for a month and am just waiting for her new cage today as I'm convinced the one she is in is too small for her lovely but rapidly growing J-Lo butt! Paranoid - yes! Totally smitten - oh yes!

Re: Happy Hamster, Happy Owner.
Hi Jesse, yep we are all a little bit obsessive about our hams on here So yuo are in good company!
Faloola - I am slowing training my cat to leave Boris alone, but she is more interested in him, than wanting to attack him, but I keep my cat out of the room where his cage is and supervise when he is in his ball.

Re: Happy Hamster, Happy Owner.
Thank you Hope!
My cat now responds to a severe "no" or a tap on his nose when he shows too much interest around Jesse's cage. I opted for a mostly plastic cage so he has little chance of harming her. Like you, I don't allow him access to the room where I keep her when I'm not around.

Re: Happy Hamster, Happy Owner.
Toffee also has a big, wiggly bum.
I was also paranoid about doing things wrong at first. maybe it's somethign that happens with the first hamster, rather like having your first child (not that I've got any myself!).
