Default Perslane safe for hamsters?

Been seeing/reading good things about a weed called perslane, as it's known here in the US.

Since I'm in to growing microgreens in the winter for my salads I will look into growing this, as well.

Usually found near sidewalks in dry sunny spots, I spotted some this eveniNg walking Chester (my dog) so I dug it up and took it home to plant in a tray.

Question: This is known as a super food with all kinds of benefits you can erad about if you're interested... but if it's safe enough for humans to eat can I give some to my hamster?

That is, will he shun something he knows is not good for him so that I have little to worry about in doing so?

Thanks
