You just never know how a hamster will react.
Clive loves his tile on his house. He made it into his grooming patch and goes there to have a wash.

I'm curious to hear if other people had melting plastikote. Does it still feel tacky now that it isn't so hot?

It feels slightly tacky if I press my fingers on it firmly. What I have done is ordered a roll of self adhesive cork. I will use it to cover all platforms. The only other thing with plastikote are two bridges. I am wondering if they will go back to normal once the weather cools.

they should be ok when it cools. ive put stuff in the oven with plastikote on at 90 degrees - wrongly or rightly - no fumes - and not killed me or my hamsters!

Re: Heatwave
I suppose if airport runways can melt then plastikote can melt! That must have been worrying. Good job you noticed.

Yes much cooler here today too - a grey day. Hot last night though upstairs. Downstairs is fine so hamsters fine.
