Re: Meet Ares
A freestanding platform would work. For a lightweight Robo you could make one from a strong cardboard box and then put light things like a wicker tipee or grass nest on it.
Or buy a wooden one off etsy and then chop the legs to the required height.

I think you overestimate my skills Ria, the legs wouldn't be the same length

Here's his cage currently. I will be getting a few sprays to add here and there. He's got a water bowl tucked in the corner and a whimzee which he loves. He's got about 8" worth of bedding. Was thinking of a multi-chamber hide but he does like to make his own nest on the left side of the cage and I'd like to encourage this natural behaviour. Is there anything else I could add?

He is so cute, nice enclosure too! Glad you guys are off to a good start

Won't matter as substrate is very forgiving.

For wooden versions, I tried one by Trixie (which Mania destroyed so would need a new one) which was great but I'd need to add stilts, any ideas on how to do that?

The trixe ones you can actually knock the bottoms off gently with a hammer, just go slowly, i did that on two of mine. then you could get some dowels and either glue on the inside or outside. although that might not work on one side of the trixie houses on the inside as i think there is that sloping bit.

Ah yes, I remember you saying at the time now you've mentioned it. What size dowels would you recommend? I've seen some that are 4mm and some that are 6mm and 8mm. Yes there's a ramp leading to the opening on the top of the Trixie house but of I remember right, there should be a corner in the room before it closest to the ramp where I could attach a dowel

Re: Meet Ares
I finally got round to reorganising Ares cage and it now looks so much better; more robo friendly. It's still not completely finished but it'll do for now. Ares is currently exploring his new habitat.
