I actually never thought of that! Maybe that is what he was doing!

I really am slow to learn things. I did not realise hamsters eat the inside of flax heads and leave the skin. I was looking through Orko's flax yesterday and saw the empty skins on a few of them. I snipped those off and left the remaining ones. He then spent time hiding them in his dig box. It was so cute. I have a clip.

Orko: someone catch the thief who touched my flax! Must go and hide my flax now.

Aww, I hope I did not make him feel I was stealing them. I just got rid of the skins. Hehe.

Haha, you know how fussy and tidy Orko is. I'm just tidying Finley's sandpit so i don't expect him to speak to me for the rest of the week.

Just a quick photo as a comparison of a tidy Robo Orko and a messy Robo Finley.

Haha I can see what you mean! Orko has bedding in his sand dish too though so he is not quite Mary Poppins.

I hope Finley does not hold a grudge for long.

I left out a sunflower head for Orko. He seemed happy to find it and went on it right away. Later on he used it as a table. How cute.

Orko utilised his sunflower head quickly.

Have these sunflower heads been dried? Or how have they been processed by the seller?

I'm just wondering if i could dry sunflower heads from the garden in the oven on a low heat to kill off any bugs. May be a bit risky because they are natural bug hotels.

Not Orko's, my garden ones but you just gave me an idea.

It is actually the first time he has looked excited about anything other then a wheel. They are dried. I wonder if you can do it to the ones in the garden centre. That would be handy.

I am amazed at how tidy Orko is. He put his broccoli on top of the hole in his MCH. He kept taking nibbles throughout the night and covered the broccoli up afterwards with his bedding.

Orko popped out for a whole 10 minutes today! I was very excited and watched him from the camera app on my phone. He has been working on nibbling the neck of his whimzee to make it easier to carry. I spotted him hiding it in his aspen dig box.
