It's heights that are an issue - eg if they can climb up onto high levels and fall they can get injured but you wouldn't have that problem in his cage. It's more tall barred cages that are the issue.

Thank you Serendipity. He always amazes me. I love watching what he gets up to. I have my breakfast and watch his adventures.

It is a relief to know his cage looks safe for him.

Lol he really was fast! Orko wakes up around 1 or 2 AM and is back in bed around 6AM. I never get to see him. He is happy though so that is okay.

Today makes 3 months since Orko arrived. He is now 7 months old. He can now eat whole mealworms and does not need them to be broken up. I tried leaving out a whole sunflower seed and he ate that so he may not need his food broken up any more.

Is Orko using the same wheel? Funny how he keeps changing direction.

Do you give him sunflower seed hearts or the whole seed with the husk on?

I'm only asking because they love shelling them. There's always a little heap of shells in the bathroom after Scottie has been out.

That one was the green wheel. He stopped using the purple wheel but that could change.

Orko has food grade seeds so they are the sunflower hearts. They are all organic. I see what you mean about hamsters liking to shell them. However he seems to take the skin off everything and store them in his sand jar and hides.

He definitely looks super content and happy. Well here's hoping he suprises you one day, maybe he will stay up to say hi. Button is on the same exact schedule as Orko, I've yet to see him since getting him.
