Orko has mealworms as part of his seed mix. They are always broken up for him as he will not eat them whole. Last night I thought I would try to leave a whole mealworm out for him to see if he may have changed. I am so happy as he ate it! You can see how he holds it in his little paws. It is adorable. My partner is happy not to have to break them up any more.

I woke up later then usual this morning (8.30) and Orko was up until 7.40! I now think he goes to bed due to me waking. Poor Orko. Here is a clip of him up then.

It's amazing how they can sense us being around or even waking up! Orko's determined not to be seen by you.

I have a spare room with 3 hamsters living in it but 2 live in the open plan lounge/kitchen and 1 in our bedroom.
Never crossed my mind to feel sorry for the ones who don't live in the spare room.
2 of them have just been exposed to the smell of me burning the toast but that's all part of living in this household.
