Aww bless, I think we all worry at some point. But I agree with Ria, he's just having a little investigation. If he was doing it constantly for minutes or hours then it might be something to look into, but it was literally a second and he was then on his merry way

Orko did not get up until 1.21 AM! He does not seem to have any routine. I got a cute clip of him foraging for seeds.

Just because you don't see him above ground doesn't mean that he isn't awake and busy.

There is a subterranean world we can't see and going by the noises of munching, crunching and lots of cluttering about i can hear coming from our hamsters cages when i can't see them, there's a lot going on below ground level.

That is true. I never hear him underground. I expect he is very quiet. I am pleased you liked the video.

With 5 bags of 85l Kaytee it's not surprising that you can't hear him. I bet he's working on an elaborate underground tunnel system. Lucky little Robo.

I made a few changes to Orko's cage. I moved his other log in the middle of his cage and added the grape vine wood to act as a way to climb down the log. He seems really happy with the change. Here is a video. You see him one minute in so best to skip to that.
