I will have to find something. There is about 3cm drop when he moves the bedding so it needs to be something small. I have no idea what to use as the multi chamber has 3 sides and he walks off each side.

I use small pieces of cork as steps. I usually get them free in the shop where i buy the cork logs.

Orko has a new wheel and it arrived today. It is the Niteangel cloud. It looks such amazing quality. I have decided to velcro it to his multi chamber house because any substrate seems to stop wheels from moving. I would hate to be asleep when this happens and for him not to be able to use his wheel. I am anxious he will not like the change but I really hope he does. This is the new lay out.

Why do you think that the Niteangel is a better wheel than the Silent Runner? It looks very wide.

It is very smooth and quiet. It appears stronger. It is the same inches as the Silent Runner but appears to have better engineering. The height can be adjusted too.

It looks great. How did Orko react to the new wheel?

At first he was wary because I had to change the lay out. He used it totally fine but he did not hop in and out as he usually does. I hope that is not less fun for him.

I am not sure of the layout of the cage. Do you think it looks okay?

It looks fine but i'd probably move the large cork tunnel more towards the middle. They like running through them and shelter in them.

I find that many hamsters aren't keen on changes especially not when they like a certain set up or item. Orko would have thrown a tantrum to express displeasure but if he hasn't he may well have accepted the new wheel and layout.
He'll let you know.

Thank you for this. I will move the cork log. I was not sure there was space for it.
