How do i serve it to the hamsters? Just straight out of the packet?
I hope that you're going to get the dwarfie.

Tofoo can be eaten straight out the pack I believe. Downside is it needs to be eaten within 48hrs of opening. Storage in the fridge during this time has to be submerged in water and changed daily. I chop/portion and freeze whatever I don't use. Texture does change a little bit but nothing drastic. That being said, the XL block doesn't last more than 2 weeks so I don't know how well it holds up long term.
Regarding the dwarf, I'm going to find more information about it first. A lot of people are breeding hamsters and selling them on at the moment in my area so I don't want to be funding that. It also happens to be in the P@H adoption bit which normal has animals given up but I have heard of 'old stock' being put in there. We'll see.

Re: Introducing Orko
Orko does not like sunflower seeds! I am so disappointed. He does not seem to like anything that is popular with robos. I will continue with them and hope he likes them.

Oh dear but i couldn't help laughing! That little man wants to be different. You'll end up with very well fed wild birds.
Ok, what about dried coconut flakes. I looked for organic ones that are 100% coconut and found some in Tkmaxx.
Holland & Barrett does them too. The supermarket ones have a preservative which is probably fine.

Re: Introducing Orko
Coconut is a good idea to try if it's free from any additives. I've personally seen toasted without anything added here in the US, so that's another option to look for.
Sulfur dioxide(spelled sulphur in the UK I think) is definitely a preservative I would avoid entirely for pet related things - sulphites in general though(including sodium metabisulphite). A lot of dried fruits and such have additives too though like artificial dyes, and lots of them also have added sugar or sweeteners so there are plenty things to look out for.

Thank you for the tip. I will check Wholefoods as their produce is all organic.
