Talking Hams 1st Holiday & an unexpected furry rescue

So the hams survived the trip to Hadrian's wall. The owner of the farm we rented a cottage from was very interested in them...she came to see the hamsters in exchange for us seeing their newborn lambs ^_^

Here were the boys packed into our little corsa-

Thats Bear, pumpkin & Indy then lil gizmo was down by my feet-

lol Bear didn't seem to settle much but the others did-

"Mummy...the ground is moving!!!!"

Once settled in the boys enjoyed rolling round (minus Bear who slept a bit after the ride)

Indy was very interested in the new country smells

the story continues....

Gizmo had some quality bonding with my boyfriend Eliott-

THEN...

on day two were looking out the window and saw the farmcat so thought we would take him some chicken and say hi

Until we saw him carrying something in his mouth..yes he had a little furry!!! He was tossing it into the air and letting it run a bit and catching it again. I know it is normal cat behaviour and my boyfriend (being a cat person) said to leave it but when i went over and looked the little furry looked so helpless and gave me the eyes...

so i ran back to the cottage, grabbed a lunchbox and some sawdust Indy had kindly pushed out during the night and we scooped the lil guy up.

His heart was racing and we let him be. Put some food in and raisens n somewhere quiet-

Eliott's brother was passing through so we went for a drink. When we returned the lil dude (as we named him) was eating furiously and drinking from the milkbottle cap i left. His breathing had normalised and the back leg which we though was injured had dried and was fine (was spit not blood!)

He let us say hi for a bit-

"Hey lil dude...feeling better now?"

"oh, human person!!!"

Then when night fell it was time to say goodbye to the lil dude

"Thank you human saviours!!!"

We though lil dude was a harvest mouse but then we found out he was a bank vole In the morning all the food we had left by the hole he went into had gone. We don't interfere with nature but on this occassion we were glad we did..the rush of happiness we got as he scurried off was worth millions ^_^

my holiday was fab! The weather held up unusually, we are normally cursed with rain XD
My grandparents loved having my hams too.
Thanks for asking, how was your weather?
