At last!!
I saw this in a well known pet shop chain store that's notorious for giving out outdated and downright dangerous advice alongside selling tiny cages with tiny wheels.
I hope this is the beginning of a new era people have been campaigning for for a long time.
I have also noticed that in this particular store their awful sign portraying hamsters as a child's pet and showing a Syrian inside a hamster ball, was not on display.

Re: At last!!
Yes, I was pleased to see this recently. I wish they would just say "prefers to live alone" since people won't know what the right age to separate their pairs is, and that might lead to injuries, but it's progress in the right direction, I suppose.

Re: At last!!
Yes but it may stop people from buying pairs in the first place knowing that they will need two cages.

Re: At last!!
I think I'd prefer a blanket ban on selling multiple hamsters for the same enclosure, like "Must live alone when older". Yes, housing certain hamsters together can be done, but it's just not worth the risk & requires so many precautions the average family don't foresee.

Re: At last!!
I was also happy in my local pet shop. On the savic Bristol and multiple tier cages they’ve added a sign saying ‘not suitable for Syrian hamsters’. I know it’s not suitable for any hamster but as we say progress is progress.
