Default Adopting a Syrian

So after Ria said "you need to get another Syrian" after I said - I miss having a Syrian - I've been searching. Didn't find much so went to Happy Hamsters and am adopting a cream banded boy from them who is quite young.

So been busy rummaging around hamster stuff in the spare room. And have bought another Savic Plaza. Annoying as I already have a third of a Savic Plaza after the previous one had an accident during lockdown. Pip is in the other one.

Still need a house.

He won't be here for a week or so so.

I was very tempted by the lower height of the Ritz cage, which has a decent shelf as well - but think I'll stick with the big front door of the Plaza - plus I have spare parts for a Plaza. If anything gets broken.

They certainly did! I was quite surprised with it being a bank holiday. It does seem ages since Pickle went. I keep saying I'm going to have a break but miss the hamstery evenings Had a syrian and a robo at the same time before and it worked well. Two syrians at the same time was a bit trickier - vying for out of cage time.

That is amazing. I am looking forward to seeing him and hearing which name you choose.

Thank you. . Yes I'm quite excited now. It seems a long time since we had a new Syrian. I think Pip will like it. Pip can have the playpen in the other room and the new syrian can free roam in the living room (after some taming that is!). Not at the same time obviously.

Well, that lucky little boy is guaranteed a wonderful future in a loving forever home.

I'm not surprised that Happy Hamsters jumped at the chance of rehoming a hamster to you.

Looking forward to meet the new boy and to see another of your amazing set ups.

Do you know, that really made my day.

Mine too. We need a new baby Syrian here. Not quite a baby - about 3 months old. Actually I am freaking a bit about a set up. All the things that fit the plaza (shelves etc) are in Pip's cage! Hard to get hold of wood shelves these days. I used to get them on ebay and amazon.de - both now defunct. I may use the green shelf the cage comes with for a change.
