According to the internet, safe to give to hamsters.

Must be kept in the fridge after opening.

Protein 17.5%
Fat 2.2%
Fiber 3.6%
Moisture 76%

Crickets!? First I was suggested to buy gross looking dried mealworms now Crickets too!? Maybe I'll place Cinnamon Bun on a leash and take her for a walk outdoors.

Similar to Ria - when you have no room for furniture because the hamster has prime place in the room and the spare room is full of hamster stuff!

Some of the rodipet food used to have crickets in as the protein element - our hamster turned his nose up at it! But hope yours enjoys his crickets!

arnoldshirl - no you don't have to have crickets and mealworms Mine get nuts and cheese and the odd bit of chicken if we have chicken.

The crickets were a big, fat dud.

Oh, well. I tried. Guess the dried meal worms will have to suffice. He does like those.

Oh well, the crickets will be a feast for the wild birds.

I found that mealworms and dried insects are more of a dwarf thing. Haven't come across many Syrians who like them. Our Jack does but he's a right dustbin.
