Ah I missed the bit about the entrances being either side of the burrow That could actually be a very useful way of leading from the cage to a secure playpen area - if there was a way of securely fixing the tube to lead out of the cage without it being an escape route. So he can go in and out sometimes. It's something I've considered before but never found a secure way for the tube to exit the cage.

I'd like to make it so he can leave this enclosure to go to another area. The clear PVC can be chewed through, though, so will have to see if he tries to do that.

My hamster has been spotted (via night vision camera) using the 3" PVC tubing run I installed for him a while back.

Not every night, but now and then he will take a trip though it.



So, it does get used. Glad for that.

That’s fantastic! Looks so good in night vision. Maybe he’ll start using it more and more. Is he still running loads every night?

I keep a tally of every day since I installed the counter.

He has not surpassed his highest score but he does run every night.

Averages around 8 to 9 miles every night.
