My hammy hikes his leg to pee like a dog??
So I was just playing with my hammy n he fell asleep on my lap and after he woke back up I had put him back in his cage as to not wake him up so he can catch his lil zzzzs after he woke up and I placed him back in his cage he ran to the spot he usually does his business and he hikes his back leg like a dog n peed in the corner of the cage iv never seen him do this before so it blew my mind n I have had quite a few hammys in the past and I have not seen any of them do this either so I thought why does he do that ?? Anyone who can help me to figure out why would be very much appreciated

Haha! That is funny and so is you trying to figure out a hamster!
Maybe he's been watching a dog on television?
I've always said that i wished someone would write a book on hamster psychology to help us humans out but it looks like no one has been able to.

One of mine used to reverse into his corner and walk his back legs up the side until he was nearly standing on his head. Then he would pee through the bars. Very messy for cleaning up! Fortunately all my others have used sand boxes.
