Re: Drama at dawn
Glad to say that she's fine physically and mentally.
She's really enjoying her HH and will be put up for adoption with her habitat unless someone has one same size or bigger with plenty of enrichment but she won't be downsizing. Especially not after being confined to a habitrail.
I'm waiting for a bigger wheel to arrive but she's small and runs fine in the silent spinner with the gaps covered. She may grow a bit yet.

Re: Drama at dawn
How did you cover the gaps - is it a star?
I need to get a new wheel, any recommendations for a robo? I had to quickly get the pets at home one - similar to the silent spinner as I found my 9inch silent runner too big for robos, even though I read when I was doing my research that they should be able to use it. Neither Suki or Comet could move it.

Re: Drama at dawn
Clarissa just came to the door and climbed into a mug so i took her out for a very short time and she walked around on me while i stroked her. Considering that she hasn't been handled i'm a bit surprised.

Yes, they are star car stickers from hippymotors.com.
Gordon has the wheel i mentioned before where you traced an online supplier and he's always run really well in that one. He had the silent spinner before but kept getting thrown out of it.
Robo Freddie had a 17cm silent spinner by Sharples and runs well in it. So does Ivy. Popcorn (Robo rescued from a habitrail same time as Clarissa) runs fast in a p@h wheel.
I know that silent spinners get bad press but i like them as long as the gaps are covered, they run smoothly and are easy to turn by a dwarf.

Re: Drama at dawn
What are these wood leaves mentioned please? Sounds interesting. Luna I had the Rodipet 9” wood wheel for our Robo and he loved it - span really well. It was a bit expensive though. The trixie 9” wood wheel should be ok as well but I was a bit worried with a Robo they may get a leg trapped between the wheel and the base somehow. But a silent spinner look alike is probably fine too. Our Robo also had a flying saucer and he used both.

Re: Drama at dawn
The wooden leaves are hanging toys or decorations from pets at home. I glue them on and then paint with plastikote.
This morning Clarissa looked at me from a hole she had dug near a big stone intended to keep her claws trimmed. I took the big stone, the small stones and the claypot out and rearranged that part of her cage resulting in me running late again for work and eating my crumpets while driving!
She has a little corner shelf with a ladder leading to it on one side and a step on the other. I glued a wooden toadstool on the front of the shelf to stop her from falling off it. The little minx squeezed past the toadstool and jumped off the shelf while we were watching her!
She rearranged her furniture overnight and had moved a cork tunnel (she is so small!) to work on the hole she was chewing through cardboard. I think the cardboard is in the way of a tunnel she's making.
My OH is totally taken in by her reckless charm and i'm asking myself what i have rescued here, lol.

Re: Drama at dawn
She sounds a total character Ria
These are the leaves we are on about Serendipity

I will look into wheels, but I prefer plastic for easier maintenance than wooden, also just worried if they can't spin a 9 inch silent runner would they be able to spin any other 9 inch wheels.
