Have room for one final hamster - what should it be?

Im the same. I have a space for another one too. I ahve one syrian and two seperate robos. I started with a group of 4, they started fighting I seperated so it was 3 and 1, then 1 died so then it became 2 and 1 and 1 escaoed - out of a fish tank?

i do miss watching the pairs.

The fish tanks are good because then you can see them all the way around

So I phoned P@H today to ask about the hamster and sadly it had to be put down

Sad but I am glad we pointed the hamster out if it was that ill - least it wasn't suffering all night and day.

On another note I think I have decided to go for another Syrian over Robos. I got out Biscuit last night and put him in the play pen. Now bearing in mind he seems really old and sleeps for about 23.5 hours a day he was rapid around that play pen - he just looked like one of those wind up toys. So I am thinking even if I keep them in a tank I am going to want to get the hams out for exercise etc and if they get lost then I have no chance finding them and there are a few dogs in my house which would probably find them first so I think I will take the safe option.

better dont get a hamster from the same group the ill hamster was in....dont know if the others could be infected now as well

yes, probably should go to an entirely different p@h if you can, because i'm sure the employees handled the sick one and then handled others even in different cages.

oh thats terrible i've never thought of that!!!
R.I.P too that little hammy you helped her life greatly even without adopting her.

My syrian actually cause a lot more trouble then my robo. Hes escaped twice within two months and peggys never escaped.
Plus he runs way faster then her during floortime
he has amazingly fast waddling

Good advice guys thanks. I will defo look elsewhere when it comes to choosing.
