Ceramic hide suggestions
I'm looking for another ceramic hide big enough for a Syrian after one got broken a while back and isn't available any more. Moo has a salt pig but that one isn't made any more either.
I've seen some very nice ones in other peoples cages but can't tell how big some are looking online. Any suggestions welcome.

I know Twinkle fits in the apple hide I had got, but he is long and skinny - i can measure the entrance later and get back to you tomorrow if you want - it's certainly big enough for a syrian inside it

Re: Ceramic hide suggestions
What about the rodipet one or are you thinking of something more open like a salt pig?
Any idea what the dimensions were of the one that got broken? I’ve been looking at a few today but I’m not really sure what size you’d need.

A large ceramic oil burner is also an option and the top can act as a food or treats bowl. Edwina has a small one and loves it.
Critter's Choice do ceramic hides in different sizes, Rory has the blue larger one which measures 12cm from base to ear.
I think a Syrian would fit in a Wundapet mushroom as well.

Re: Ceramic hide suggestions
Thank you. It’s for Pickle who is very big! Which Rodipet one do you mean cypher? I had that lovely Rodipet one for Newt that looked like a tree trunk with a lid - about 16cm diameter- that’s the one that smashed on the floor! Where do you get the mushrooms from Ria? Yes I think something a bit open would be good but not necessarily. All the others enjoyed sitting in the salt pig for a wash or cool down and it’s very low and open at the front.
Any links for oil burners or apple hides etc? I saw one that looked like a shark but didn’t fancy it!

the apples hole is about 5cm at the widest point so not really good for a big syrian.
It's about 12 cm high and 13cm wide
The toadstool one has same sized entrance but the base is approx 10cm wide and then tapers up to about 12cm then tapers off to about 8cm as it goes upwards. Approx 14cm high

I like the one you found.

Re: Ceramic hide suggestions
FYI I wouldn't recommend this one either for a syrian. Star only just fit in it and she was a tiny syrian.
Just thought i would mention it in case you came across it when looking.
