After literally jumping over a tunnel, Robo Duncan has jumped the rehoming queue as well.

A lovely local lady was getting a Zoozone 2 ready to adopt Robo Rupert.
Rupert is shy and seems happy in the foster tank but Duncan is a more confident Robo who was not happy in my foster Duna. He kept looking for a way out, pawing the sides frantically and looking out the window. He needed more space whereas Rupert seems fine where he is at the moment.
I discussed this with the lady and we both agreed that her habitat may be more suited for Duncan, so off he went, round the corner.

Foster Robo Rupert is one of the tiny ones and i wonder if he'll grow yet.
He turned out to be very shy and surfaced when it was dark and quiet.
Last night he stayed when i turned the light on and i sat next to his tank chatting for quite a while. He kept looking up at me. I then offered him a mealworm with my fingers and he almost took it but backed off at the last cm. He sat eating it while i watched him though.

I took Rupert twice off the sites now because i'm either not sure he's ready for rehoming or i want to spend more time with him.
Now and again a real t..t enquires and that's when my german bluntness comes in handy but it puts me off for a while and i become very reluctant to advertise a hamster.
I wished i had more faith in people but i'm ultra mistrusting where a hamster is involved.

Got a tiny young Robo off the small ads yesterday. I really hope that he's going to grow yet. He's so light and fast that he keeps falling out of the wheel and i may have to get him a 20cm Trixie wheel.
My OH named him Tony. Had to go to work so didn't have time to take photos when i saw him this morning.

Just took a photo of 3 months old Tony.
He is so so small. I wonder if he'll grow yet.

Does anyone know at what age a Robo is fully grown?

Stunning photo of little Tony! He's absolutely gorgeous. And those whiskers!
I'd be interested to know the answer to the question about when a Robo is fully grown too. My Holly is 4-5 months old now, and she still looks very tiny too.
There is just something about robos....

Today i collected a young Syrian boy living in truly horrendous conditions. The worst i've ever seen.

I gave him a health check when we got home and trimmed his matted fur around his tail end. I first thought he's a girl and called him Josephine but later on when he was more relaxed he turned out to be a Joe.

Joe is only around 3 months old, silver grey and long haired with a black flash on either side. He's got a face like a boxer from bar chewing and he feels thin and bony.

Not to worry. All that will change. I'll weigh him if he ever comes out of his wheel. He had to learn how to use a wheel but has picked up pace since his first tentative steps.

Joe is very friendly and tame but his ears where down when i got him. They are up now.
