I can see what you mean. They do look chubby. I am sure they will lose weight once they get a good wheel in their new home.

Their tiny wheels didn't turn properly and squeaked so they didn't get much exercise. They're going mad for it now though. I had to nip out and get a cheap small wheel for the brown one and then hang it upsidedown in the cage.

They are sisters and were kept as a pair but started to fight of course. At least the people had the sense and separated them before they got hurt or worse.

Oh thank goodness they were separated! They look so lively. Whoever adopts them is very lucky.

Petshop sold them as a pair and people weren't told that they could fight. Usual story.

I can imagine. Will they go to one home or two homes?

That depends if people want to adopt one or two hamsters but usually its one. If someone has two suitable enclosures, good hamster care knowledge and wants two hamsters then yes, they could go to the same home.

The fact that they are sisters isn't relevant because hamsters are solitary.

I did not realise they were going to a rescue. I thought they were being adopted by somebody so wondered if the person was adopted both of them. I hope they both find their forever homes soon.

Such a shame, what a beautiful little duo. Good that they seem quite friendly though, as guess that will help in finding forever homes for them. Do you know roughly how old they are? Crazy to think a pet shop would sell them as a pair to live together :/
