Re: Foster hamsters
That's it. The last "home improvements" attempt to give Finley more substrate in his little tank was a complete flop. He didn't like it and went awol for days. I knew he was alive because the fresh food had gone by the morning.
I took some substrate out, put the wheel back to where it was before and i'm going to leave his tank alone now. I even saw him briefly in his observation hide. I need to clean this hide because he wees in it (perspex floor not wood) but i'll do that in about a week's time together with a healthcheck. No doubt, i'll be confronted by a very irate and squeaking Robo again.

Re: Foster hamsters
Finley's still in a huff with me. He won't come out at all when i'm around.
Last night i was at work and heard that Finley was running around in his tank early evening! Hmpf.

Oh dear. Maybe a mealworm can bring him round.

Tried that. It was a big mistake to move the wheel and now i have to wait until he forgets about it.
Finley's behaviour reminds me of ilguy's Cupcake who took a month to resurface.
I think i'm in for a long wait......

If only we could talk to them so we could explain our decisions are for their benefit. I really hope he does come round soon.
I had a very grumpy bunny. Once I was in the bathroom and heard a strange grunt. I rushed out and my partner had offered our bunny a piece of rocket. For some reason this made him so angry he grunted. It was rare for him to make any noise so that was real anger. We since refer to that as rocket gate.

Lol! They know how to express themselves. Talking about grumpy. On this thread somewhere is a photo of the angriest Robo I've ever had the pleasure to handle. I'll see if i can find the page.

Re: Foster hamsters
Now that is an angry face! Haha. Sounds like he went to the best home ever. I have seen some of the set ups of Plueschraupe and they are amazing.
