I took the substrate out of the sand, wiped the wheel and sieved the seed shells etc out of the sand. It's the same but tidy. Well, it was tidy but Finley will soon see to that.

He is the messiest hamster i've ever met. At least i know that he's active at night.

I love your ideas. You are so good at adapting things for hamsters.

Lol how funny Finlay is so messy. It would be interesting to watch a film of what he gets up to at night.

I took this night camera back for the second or third time after Romy died. I just don't do technology.

Finley kept filling up the sand with substrate again so i took it out, put in a platform to dig under with the small sandbath on top.

He stayed in the burrowing area but looked out of his observation hide a couple of times. Probably checking if that annoying human was still around.

See how that goes.....

I need to move the first tree. Can't move the second one because he likes to sit behind it.

Finley is in a strop. I can always tell because he goes in his observation hide and paws the front where i can see him.

He only ever does that when i've cleaned or rearranged something.

I don't expect to see him before midnight, if at all. He'll probably wait unti the troublesome humans have gone to bed.

Aw it is so cute how he makes his feelings clear to you. Very clever the way he will paw the front so you can see him.

I went back to the shop to enquire what had happened to the ill looking Robo in the adoption tank which was empty (just as well!).

He had been taken back to the vet because he had been quite unwell hence received treatment. He wasn't fit to be sold and taken home by a staff member.

I wished staff working with small animals would receive training to reckognize signs of illness, especially when they are as obvious as with said Robo. I'm not critisizing the staff who are probably working for peanuts anyway.
I have emailed HO of this shop chain before, pointing this out.

The young dwarf who was returned for biting a small child was still there so i'm going to ask around if anyone has a space.

It is good to know the robo is being cared for. That is down to you. Luckily the staff member cared to do something about it.
