Hmm, i really hope that someone with a lovely, big enclosure will contact me soon to adopt this little fella.
If not, i could be very tempted to rehome him to myself.

Scottie spent a good half hour in the hamster playground last night, exploring, wheeling and running around. I felt like an obstacle in his way when he run a few circuits around me. He has started to respond to his name too or maybe my voice.

Oh Scottie is so cute! I can see why you feel tempted to keep him.

What a gorgeous picture, he’s so cute and he looks so relaxed, his cage looks so natural, can I ask, where do you buy your seed/herby looking items.

Some of the Rosewood brands for foraging look nice but I’ve not tried yet, are the budgie millet sprays ok for hamsters?

Budgie millet sprays are fine and they like them. I buy the Rosewood Naturals Pick 'n' Fly variety pack. You can get it online or from Porton Aquatics.

I just made a kitchen roll "tree" for foster Robo Lola's cage for a bit of overhead cover using some sprays but couldn't open the green plastikote so used lilac.

Thanks Ria, I’m going to try some of the pick n fly. Great Kitchen roll tree too, looks fab, I’ll be giving this a go as well

Ooops!

I just scooped Robo Scottie out of his tank and put him in the transport ball but the bottom fell out and with it the Robo! No height involved because i was kneeling on the floor.

Scottie legged it from the lounge to the kitchen where i managed to scoop him up in my hands. I've been handling him most evenings lately which really helped tonight because he didn't run away from me in a panic.
He's wheeling and happily running around in the hamster playground now.

I try to be careful when handling the hamsters but now and again a mishap happens. Must go and scoop Scottie up and put him back in his tank but this time i check that the transport ball is screwed together tightly.

Scottie definitely responds to his name now. He loves the 28cm Trixie wheel in the hamster playground but never bothers with the small wheels or the flying saucers. Now and again he jumps off the wheel to race around the hall and bathroom. When he gets tired he pancakes on the blanket.
