Haha, interesting name, thank you for the suggestion. We stuck with Scottie which suits him. He's one of those super cute tiny Robos.

oh my gosh! he is adorable ♡ I always thought robos have such amazingly cute faces! I have never tried keeping them , they seem daunting since their reputation is untamable. atleast here it is xD

They have the cutest faces.

Personally, i never worry about whether a hamster becomes tame or not as long as the hamster is happy. A lot is down to personality. Some like human company and others prefer their own.

That is absolutely true. I like being able to handle my pets, which is why we are getting a syrian hamster from a breeder who knows what we are looking for. She has assured us that her pups will be fully socialized and used to human interaction. ofc we will have a taming period of sorts where we let the hamster set the pace. Slow and steady as with any new animal. But I am looking forward to be able to hold a small furry cutie again.
Having owned a gecko for the past 7 yrs which we absolutely can not handle cause she bites have left us feeling abit lacking in handling I guess. Its not that I havent tried taming her, but it stresses her out so I wont push her on it. She is very much content just being watched and seeing her happy makes me happy also so it works out It is very much a boring animal to have for my 6yr old son tho, he cant help feed or clean or do anything in her tank, she is vicious and I do not want him to get scared of her.

My dream is to have owned every species of hamster, and then find my favorite. so I have quite a few left on that list as I have only owned syrians and hybrids.

I didn't mean to get more hamsters until my two fosters have been rehomed but the ad of two young Robo sisters sharing a tiny cage without a wheel or toys was still there a month later.

No need to explain further but Lola the smaller and shy one moved into my Duna and her confident sister Millie, the bigger of the two is moving to a friend's rescue tomorrow for rehoming.

I put them in a playpen to give them a health check, nail trim and check their gender but then moved them to separate cages.

Thanks. It makes me happy to see a little hamster move from a dismal existence to a better life. We are their stepping stones on their way to happiness.

Here's Millie who now lives in a well set up Hamster Heaven in my friend's rescue and Lola who lives in my foster Duna.

Both hamsters will eventually move on to 5* forever homes. We won't settle for anything less.

Along the way we will have to deal with annoying, rude and ignorant humans until one comes along who is on the same wave length and has the habitat and knowledge to prove it.
