I upload the photos straight from my phone via Post Reply - Manage Attachments - Choose File (photo in gallery of my phone) - Upload - Close This Window but don't resize because my phone won't do it.
I had to readjust Rupert's tank this morning because it didn't quite work after giving it some thought.
Picked up the grass tunnel and he tumbled out of it! Oops, that didn't go down too well but i thought that he was sleeping in the house or burrowing area.
Rupert got mad and tried to dig his way out while i adjusted the tank and set it up nicely and more suitably for him.
He then turned the place upsidedown making all my efforts undone! He calmed down eventually.
Not the first time i was faced with an angry Robo throwing a tantrum. He reminds me of Gerald.

Re: Foster hamsters
Hopefully, he'll stay calm when he wakes up because i exchanged a hide. I put in a small ceramic hide he liked and i thought it was safe but then he chucked all the substrate about in that corner causing major subsidence to the hide. I got really worried that it could knock him out so went out, got stuck in traffic and bought him a lightweight Tiki hut.
That's it now. I will not touch this tank again.

That's me exactly - I have better things to do than learn how to use technology!
Would your instructions work for posting photos from a camera? (Um...I barely know how to use my mobile!)

Re: Foster hamsters
Yes same with a camera. If you have a laptop it’s easy. Plug camera into laptop (usb or c). Find camera photos on laptop. Right click on a photo and select open with - then select paint. At the top of paint select “resize “. Change percent to pixels (tick box) and type 650 in the top box (bottom box changes automatically). Then “save as”. And select “jpeg” and the location you want to save the photo to - eg desktop or a new folder. By doing “save as” your original full resolution stays in tact and this is just a copy.
You then have the resized photo on your desktop ready to upload to the forum.

Re: Foster hamsters
Thanks, Serendipity. I don't have a laptop, but I assume it works the same with a desktop, so I've written down your instructions and I will try it tomorrow. I'll probably have to rope OH in for some tekkie help, but it's getting a tad late now.
I might be missing something obvious here, but uploading to the forum - um....how do I do that please?

Re: Foster hamsters
Firstly apologies to Ria as this is on her thread. There is a thread on here somewhere that explains how to do it. I’ll see if I can find it! Once you’ve done it a couple of times it’s a piece of cake . Yes any computer - desktop or laptop. Basically when you see your camera files on the computer just right click on the one you want to resize and select to open in “Paint”. Resizing it on there takes seconds and you then just save the resized file as a “save as” .

Re: Foster hamsters
Brilliant! I had a bit of trouble with re-sizing, but I think I (that is, OH) has managed it now.
I thought the forum could handle 650 pixels, but when I tried them that size, it wouldn't allow me to upload them. We had to reduce to 620 pixels.
Working on it.....

Re: Foster hamsters
This whole resizing business is greek to me but i now wonder why and how i can upload photos straight from my phone's gallery? It's a 2016 Android so nothing fancy. Do the photos automatically upload in a usable size?
I tried resizing Apps but couldn't download them or get them to work. The only App i use is Google maps so i can collect hamsters but am still looking for a dashboard compass so i know where to go when the voice says head south.
Is there such a thing as a user friendly (simple) phone on the market that does that?

Re: Foster hamsters
I don't know I'm better with computers than phones! Petite that is strange - it should do 650 or even 700 or 750. But it's possible your file was particularly large - if it's a good camera. It's a combination of pixel size to fit the forum, and file size to fit within the forum file size. Most of my pics are about 4 or 5mb. After resizing to 650 they are about 100kb.
