And some text appears at the end of your message where the cursor is. Then "submit reply" as usual and the photos appear in the message .

Easier than it sounds - its just one step further after uploading the photos.

Nah, i can't see the Go Advanced at the bottom of the message box but i'm pretty dim when it comes to technology.

I've Maureen proofed the cage now so she can't fall on top of anything hard or edgy like her house. They've both run out of steam now, Clarissa and Maureen. It's so quiet.......

She sounds a real character. There's a thread on embedding photos somewhere. When you reply to a thread it's on the "quick reply" box under the message. It's the one you click on to upload photos. If there's another way of uploading photos - do tell! It might be quicker than clicking "Go Advanced" and "Manage attachments". Anyway maybe it's just my pc that won't open them quickly enough.

Oh i see! I've never tried the quick reply but can see the go advanced now.

I go for the easy way of post reply - manage attachments - choose file - upload - close this window - submit reply.

The photos open up when i click on them but i use my phone because i don't have the patience to use my even older laptop.

Sorry for the distraction on your thread. I didn't know there was another way to reply! Other than the quick reply box at the end of the thread I can only find "manage attachments" if I click on Go Advanced. Whatever! I suspect our internet was just very slow opening photos - having problems with it at the moment. It is nice when you see the photos in the message though - people used to use photobucket, which achieved that, but it's not usable any more and so many photos on here were lost - such a shame.

If you click on Post Reply above the Quick Reply and then look at Additional Options you'll see the Manage Attachments.
I don't know why there are two ways of replying and what the difference is.

Yes, so many photos got lost in the Let's see your cages thread which is a real shame. I like looking at different set ups for inspiration or just to look.

Aha! All these years and I never saw that lol. Ok I tried that! So then it's just the same as quick reply and clicking Go Advanced - "post reply" already has the "advanced" bits in. So then it's just a case of clicking on the paperclip to insert photos in the message box . If you want to.

Thanks. Fostering and rehoming can be really upsetting sometimes. Someone wanted to adopt Maureen and when i asked for proof of a suitable enclosure i received a photo of a brand new and truly horrendous cage. I politely explained my reasons for declining their offer but now i'm haunted by the thought that some unfortunate hamster will have to live in it.

Do you think they would have taken on board the idea of exchanging the cage to have the hamster? Sometimes worth a try. An info sheet on suitable cages and wheels is what a lot of rescues do, so people know up front that they need a certain cage if they want to adopt.

I am sure it must be upsetting and I think I would find it hard letting them go.
