Hahah, excellent strategy. And what a pretty little boy.

Re: Foster hamsters
That picture of Ralph in the log really brightened up my day. He's such a good looking lad too!

Re: Foster hamsters
I cleaned Edwina's HH after her burial yesterday but kept looking and talking to where it used to be. This morning my OH said Good morning Edwina when he entered the room then sadly looked at the empty space.
I picked up the fully set up foster cage that was under the table to fill the space but it felt very strange, somehow better though or maybe it was the thought of giving a hamster in need a temporary home.
There were a couple of unwanted ones on Gumtree and i'm so glad i went out and got this one living in this. Sleeping in a tube with an empty plastic bottle for a house.
So i bought this male Syrian hamster and called him Morris. I always change their names to something similar sounding. When i picked him up he screeched but didn't bite and that's when i noticed that something vital was missing.
I'm pretty sure that Morris is a Maureen.
What do you think?

Hmm I think you are right! Morris/Maureen has had the best of luck being rescued by you. Whilst edwina is irreplaceable she will no doubt be pleased you have given another ham the chance of a better life x

Yes, also this hamster behaves like a girl. Very active and trying to climb out so i just let her out in the hall hamster playground.

Re: Foster hamsters
Is there any chance you could embed the images on the page please? I keep finding they take a really long time to open clicking on the link - same on other people's threads. You just click "insert all" on the paperclip at the top before posting But I take it she's a girl!

Huh? I would if i had any idea what you're talking about. Where's what link and what paperclip? I'll have a look though, thanks.
I've got a bar chewer in the house. No doubt now that she's a girl. She wants out and needs a big enclosure. She's monkey barring! Just as well she's in a low Grosvenor.
Hmm, i think she's ready for adoption, lol.

Re: Foster hamsters
After you've uploaded the photos, click on "Go Advanced" at the bottom of the message box. (You've probably already done that anyway, to upload the photos).
At the top of the message box there's a paperclip with a little arrow next to it. Click on the arrow and there's a drop down menu with your uploaded photos listed. Select "Insert All". And some text appears at the end of your message where the cursor is. Then "submit reply" as usual and the photos appear in the message .
Easier than it sounds - its just one step further after uploading the photos.
She sounds a real character!
