Hamster appreciation thread

I just thought I'd start this thread so that everyone who would like to can join in and show their appreciation for their hamsters, both past and present.

Hamsters are the most wonderful little creatures and have brought such a lot of happiness into my life.

I know they cannot read this but thank you Monty, Admiral Lord Nelson, Nanuk, Norman and Baldrick for your wonderful companionship and for all the laughs and love you have given me.

Hamsters are amusing little companions who brighten up my day every day. Life wouldn't be the same without them. Hamsterfolk, you are very much appreciated in this household!

Aww what lovely piccies to look at with my morning cup of tea! I am only echo your comments Vierville and Ria. Hamsters are such amazing, funny, cute, loving pets and Boo is a joy. I couldn’t imagine now not having the company of a ham - they make our house complete x

My hamsters never fail to make me laugh with their silly antics. Also it's really nice for me to have pets that only require my attention in the evening instead of all day. I have ADHD so I struggle focusing as it is, so while my hams are asleep I am able to do other things.

Many people are surprised that I have hamsters and are like "those don't seem like any fun" but it's so special to see a hamster slowly warm up to you and then just trust you completely. Sure, their lives are short but they've always brought me a lot of joy in the past and now are still doing so.
