DIY Paper towel bedding

Hello everyone.

I saw a video from Erin's animals (link) where is suggests making your own bedding out of kitchen paper.

Has any of you ever tried it? How did your hamster react to it?

I am going to try it because i can't get white paper bedding in my country and that was a brilliant idea from erin.

I have shredded toiletpaper/kitchen towels into small pieces, sometimes with my scent, sometimes just to fill up for him to use as bedding along with bought paperbedding. He seems to like it as he puts it in his nest a lot.

This same here, I shred in my hand toilet paper and put it in the cage and my hamster seams to love it as always take it inside his nest. I have to say it looks rather lovely Him dragging the paper inside or stuffing his mouth with it to transport it.

Exactly the same goes for my hamsters. They LOVE their torn up toilet paper (the cheapest 1-ply is perfect for this). I use it for their nest bedding. Lovely and soft and warm.

I've used hand ripped up tissue as extra bedding but after seeing that video the other day I've actually added a layer of it all over. I've been looking into buying a hand-crank shredder to help and give me something to do while I'm listening to music.
