Meet Athena
Athena is a 6-7 month old female Syrian which I have adopted from a rescue. She ended up in rescue as the owner was moving, when she came into rescue it became obvious that she was very underweight so it's something I need to keep an eye on. She's a lovely girl so I'm lucky to have her

Re: Meet Athena
Looks like she's enjoying her food though. Keep us updated on this lovely lady. She must be so happy to have moved in with you.

It’s so nice to see your new family. Hope she puts a bit of weight on in your care x

She seems happy, well, not too stressed anyway. She's eating so I guess that's a good sign. She loves digging in her sand box

I hope so too. She was skin and bones when she went into rescue and now looking healthier she was ready for adoption. Still got a long way to go though. She's currently 83g. Adult Syrians are many to be in the 140-200g range or so I've read. Not sure, but that's what I'm aiming for

Congrats on all your new rescues. My Star was about 93g when she was rescued, was around 130g when I adopted her and now 6 months later she is 160g. She is a small syrian.
You will get there with her, just takes time and food. Goodluck.

Thank you. My question is when do Syrians stop growing and considered adults? My robo stopped at around 6 months of age, now he's just growing out lol
