Re: New addition
Thanks Ithuviel. We have established that it's a boy and have named him Rollo. He's a very random little lad...weoften see him sitting up on his back legs just staring into the distance. He absolutely loves his wheel and climbing his bars!
We are very priviledged to have him.

Re: New addition
Haha I've just fed him his evening fresh veggies and as soon as I got my phone out to photograph him he scampered off to his bottom level and under the substrate!
I've attached some photos of his house. It's a Ferplast Favola with an additional external house added and some internal tubes so he can get up there. He has two wheels on the upper level and on the lower level he has a plastic hide in the foreground as well as a wooden house with no floor deep in the back there somewhere as well as an enclosed sand box with tubes leading to it.

Re: New addition
Hasn't Baldrick grown! Is that really the same tiny hamster from the pet shop? He is cute and looks ever so thoughtful. What's his personality like? What happens after he comes out to greet you? Does he ask to come out or expect a treat from you?
I like his cage with the clear base.

Re: New addition
Thanks RiaP. He has grown so much! He's seven weeks old now bless him.
He has a very pensive character, I often see him just sitting upright staring into the distance.
He absolutely loves his food, more so than any of the other hamsters.
I'm still working on getting him completely comfortable with being handled but usually when he sees me he comes to the side of the cage for a mealworm. I've drilled a small hole in the base so that if he is on the bottom level I can pass it to him through the hole. He knows this and makes his way straight to the hole!
He really is a lovely little lad.
