I know I said I'd wait until the new year, but then I came across this chap - a young male which is what I'd really like - as different as possible from Phoebe - plus he's a banded black, as close to a zebra ham I'm going to get!



Don't know if I'll get him yet, but here's hoping. He looks a cutie in that photo.

I think it's best to get a new pet as soon as you can in most cases. You are a great hamster owner and this little one will be lucky to be homed with you

He looks adorable Emma. Hope you get him and with your experience I would think they would let him go asap. When could you collect him? Are you home for Christmas. What a great gift for both of you... a new friend for you and a new owner for the little one.

I'm picking him up next Tuesday, I'm staying with my parents on the Wirral over Christmas, it's not too bad a drive over to the rescue from there.
