Hamster litter training.

I am the owner of a Russian Dwarf hamster! How am I to tell the corner that she pees in. I am trying to litter train her and I am looking for tips. What kind of litter should I use? Answers appreciated! Thanks!

You should be able to tell where she pees just by looking at the substrate. Or watch her while she plays and wait until she goes to the corner to pee. There are a lot of little choices out there to choose from that all do the job; all you have to make sure of is that you don't buy a dusty one as it can have a negative effect on them.

It can be hard to find where they pee when they're young but most Russian hams will pee in the sand bath, they don't always use a corner, especially if they're new & not fully tame they may pee in or near the nest so you may need to put the litter tray close to where she sleeps.
Don't use any kind of litter in your tray, chinchilla sand (not dust) is best or you can just put your usual substrate in it. Not all the litter pellets sold for litter trays are safe so best avoided.
