Readjusting a Hammy's routine?
Hiya all, so Hoji has decided he/she wants to get up at a new time, which is fine but the only problem is im allways out at this time. Before he/she got up about 10-11pm which was great as we chilled together but now im not seein him much. I was wondering if anyone had managed to successfully change a hamsters get up routine without it been mean to the little guy and how?
If not then thats fine also.
(Also can a hamsters coat change color or is she just filthy lol)

Whenever I put mine in a Habitrail she always falls asleep in the tubing even at night! I don't put her in it anymore for that reason but maybe try holding her when it is the time for her to wake up.

Re: Readjusting a Hammy's routine?
You can usually adjust the time they get up but you need to do it gradually, might be a bit difficult if you're out when he wakes though as the normal process is to wake them by making gentle noises with the bedding or food just a little earlier than normal & gradually moving the time to something more suitable.
