Update on Flan and Maduros

Hey guys so I promised that once I got to know my little dwarfies a bit better i would post an update on them, so her I am!
Starting with Flan...
...She is a total boss diva who treats me like a personal slave. She is a very confident hamster and was practically tame when i got her.
Now onto Maduros...
...She is basically Flan's entourage and is a little bit more timid than Flan but she is also very affectionate. In addition to this she is a very clumsy hamster which leads me to sometimes believe she has worse eyesight than Flan so that is something I am keeping my eye on.

Overall, they are both beautiful hams and I adore them both very much. They are my first dwarf hamsters so if you have any tips about owning dwarfies that you think i should know, please leave them in a post below.

Also just thought I might leave a little bit of background information about my self. I just turned 17 last weak and I am hoping to study history or geography at Cambridge university. I am currently doing my A-levels and i study history, geography, maths and Chemistry

Hi! I'm so glad to read your update on your two precious hams. Flan and Maduros sound absolutely marvelous and so much fun. I am so happy that they are so affectionate and doing well with taming already. I am not the dwarf expert, but I'm sure that many HC members will come along and give you excellent advice on dwarfs. I would just suggest being extremely careful that their diet isn't sugary or sweet as dwarfs are prone to diabetes. I look forward to getting to know your little ones better and seeing pics of them whenever you have a chance.

Good luck with your studies and A-levels. Happy Belated 17th Birthday, CBB!!!! I hope that it was marvelous and all you hoped it to be.

I am aware of the diabetes issue and so i am being very strict with their diet (which Flan does not appreciate

) I did have a great birthday thank you

My hams got spoiled rotten as i asked for things for Bella and the dwarfies (my boyfriend thought i was rediculous lol). I will make sure to get pictures soon but they are not photogenic

Your hamsters sound really cute, I would love to see pics as soon as you have them! I also wanted to say a massive massive good luck in your A levels - and Cambridge!! That is really really impressive, so all the best to you, hope you have an amazing time there!! Also, let us know if you end up choosing history or geography!! I had the same dilemma, but when I was choosing my A levels rather than my university course - in the end I decided history because I cba with the fieldwork you have to do in geography!! But I'm so glad I did because I have a real passion for history now.

I see what you mean with fieldwork, it is such a drag!
If i had to choose right now I would go for history as I am predicted an A* in that whereas geography i am an A and i often prefer my lessons. Also welcome to HC! I only joined just under 2 moths ago but i really love it on here. Everybody is so nice

I'm glad that your birthday was awesome you deserve only the very best!!! I am happy to hear that your precious hams received extra gifts to celebrate your birthday, too; this just proves how awesome of a ham mum you are to your very lucky hams.
