Sterling and Franc
Hello everyone! I've got my two little dwarves home and they're currently in a Ferplast Ratatout 80.
Meet Sterling and Franc!
These two brothers were always close to each other when I've bought them so i took them both, both of them have at least 4 hide outs and 3 food bowls but I will try scatter feeding soon.
I've bought Sterling and Franc in the same shop as I've bought Toria, and it seems they have a private breeder for their Hamsters.
Sterling and Franc will be living together in the Ferplast Ratatout 80 but I will be changing their cages and if they ever really fight, I will be seperating them.
I would like to ask for help on tips for two dwarves as more research for them is better than none, I only have one wheel for now but I'll be buying another soon.

Aww, Sterling and Franc are so cute. I look forward to getting to know these two precious hams and seeing more of them after they settle in. Have fun with your little cuties.

Thanks dreamtree. I just couldn't resist taking a photo right away since 4 hours after, they were already in the wheel!
I plan on buying another wheel soon.

Re: Sterling and Franc
Congrats on Sterling and Franc they do look adorable
Look forward to seeing more of them.
I posted a few basic tips in your other thread, if you're unsure about anything though just ask.

Thanks a lot cypher! I do face a problem now, Sterling (the bigger brother) kept squeaking at Franc (the smaller brother) which didn't happen before and only happened 8 hours after, Franc is getting scared but no blood has been drawn but he's approaching carefully now and slowly outside, what should I do?
EDIT: The Ferplast Duna Multy has been set-up but I still don't have any beddings for any of my hamsters but I will be buying an emergency one tomorrow.
EDIT: Another edit, so after 3 hours Sterling stopped squeaking at Franc which made me relieve and they're sleeping together in the house.

Re: Sterling and Franc
They're bound to be a bit unsettled by the move to their new home so that could cause a bit of squeaking & squabbling to begin with, you just need to keep a close eye on them really although they will still sleep together after fighting sometimes so that's not a guarantee that everything is ok. Just see how they go for now.

Thanks cypher, I will keep an eye on both of them.
EDIT: Also should I move them to the Ferplast Duna Multy? The Ratatout is very narrow and barely fits that much room for toys and hides incase they do fight.

Re: Sterling and Franc
Bad news, I had to seperate them as Sterling kept attacking and chasing Franc, and I think it's a bad thing because it would be worse.
EDIT: Since Franc was only here for 1 day and was suppose to be adjusted to his environment, I managed to grab him from the Ferplast Ratatout and seperate their fighting by using a hideout and using a gloves, Franc jumped and fell for about 18 cm from my gloves and tried to escape, I manage to grab him and put him in the empty Ferplast Duna Multy, I bought the emergency wood shavings which are rather small and only about 4 cm of bedding, I'll be adding more once he calms down.

Re: Sterling and Franc
You've done the best thing for them, it may not have turned out as you hoped but most pairs do end up being separated at some point & it probably was just the stress of moving to a new home that upset the balance with your boys so it happened sooner rather than later but they will both live happily alone & I'm sure they'll settle in fine now.

Thanks cypher, I think I should've seperated them sooner, I did borrow Toria's Wheel for now for Franc since they both loved using the hamster wheel and made sure to clean it thoroughly, I will be giving it to Toria back once I buy another wheel in Fressnapf tomorrow.
