Crab is my western zodiac. (Cancer). Love crabs. Except the fact that they are escape artists.

Day 20

Spring is here at last! The first warm sunny day for quite a while and it has brought the animals out into the sunshine. The Cockerel and hens are from the neighbouring farm but they wander everywhere and in our garden and yard. For some reason the hens liked the stinky pile of straw/dung heap! The pygmy goat is from next door as well and was sitting in our front garden but ran away when I went to take a photo

Ever since we went to see the new Peter Rabbit film it makes me laugh when that cockerel crows. If you haven't seen the film I won't tell you why and spoil it but just say there's a funny cockerel in it. The film isn't just for children - it's a good all round film for everyone.

I just caught up on your very interesting and enjoyable thread. Lol, what an excellent April Fool's Day joke!!! It was certainly a funny way to begin it, too - loved it!!! I also enjoyed the great Easter pics of Newtie and the chick and his cute little bum poking out from the hay hideaways. I also adored Nugget's pics with the cheese hideout and those of his parents and sister. The cockerel and hens photos were lovely, too. I totally enjoyed seeing the pics and video of your lambs. Reading all about the lambing experience was extra interesting to me. I have never seen sheep except for those that are on display at fairs here in the U.S. so seeing them during their earlier stage in life and hearing their darling voice was extra special for me. I think it would be absolutely charming to stroll and see lambs in the fields grazing and a miracle to see the lambing. I do hope that the weather is more pleasant and the rest of lambing goes well. Please give Lucky, Noisy, and Floppy a cuddle for me because they are just SO adorable.

Lovely pictures of your visitors from next door and it's good to see some sun at last! I'm sure the lambs will be enjoying the sunshine too

Yup, that goat has a guilty look about him for sure! Glad the warm weather has reached you Serendipity. Hope it helps the lambing continue well. You will be relieved when there are no more weak ones needing special care.

Just been catching up on this weeks posts - Noisy is definitely very noisy.
Nugget looks so adorable peering out of his cheese cube - its good to hear that that you managed to find a new base for your Mickey XL. I'm sure nugget will enjoy his new cage.
Adorable photos of Newt's rear end - such an iconic pose. He is also so handsome posing with his easter chick.
Sweet photos of the chickens and goats - I love how mischievous the goat looks in the last photo.

The crabbing photos brought back memories for me - I used to go crabbing with my family for my granddads birthday when I was a younger in Cromer. I used to thoroughly enjoy it although I didn't want to hold the crabs but it was so lovely when we set them free watching them scuttling down to the water edge and disappearing back into the water.
