My hamster is a neat freak
My hamster Kristof is coming out of his shell and so are his little quirks! He potty trained with very little trouble and recently I have noticed that when he poops he will carry his droppings to the outer boarder of the cage... I'm not worried or anything but I do think it is funny to watch. He is a tad OCD about the tidiness of his home. Lol. Does anyone else's babies have funny quirks that you've noticed?

Re: My hamster is a neat freak
That's so adorable. It's funny when you notice these things.
Master Harvey leaves a pile of pooh outside his house for me to take away every couple of days. Certain treats go to certain parts in his cage, it's so funny watching him put the treat in it's place and if I put it in the wrong bit, he'll correct it and that makes me so proud of him.

Re: My hamster is a neat freak
That's so funny! My Marti is also a neat freak. She carries all the treats I give her to her bowl and places them there. Food must be with food. I recently gave her a dried mini corn and she brought the whole thing to the bowl. The next day I took it out to give her fresh food, but she put it back into the bowl. Next day it repeated.
She also is very careful with her poop. She even regularly cleans her nest, throwing poops and sunflower seed shells out of it.

Re: My hamster is a neat freak
The food/treats that I scatter or hide are taken to One of the two bowls in her tank.
Pee and poop in the sand bath/toilet. She is so tidy and it makes spot cleaning easier.

My Heather is so far on the other side of the spectrum, she will mess up her cage after cleaning. Messes it up til she's happy once again. It really is cute.
