Re: Daisy diary
10g is quite a lot to lose in 5 days, it may just have been the change in routine but I'd keep a close check on it.
If he's peeing a lot cut out the dandelions completely for a while & see if that makes a difference, they shouldn't have too much dandelion, just a little now & then as a treat.

Re: Daisy diary
Hopefully, Cotton's change in weight is due to being away from your home and his usual routine. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that he will gain it back in no time and that all is fine. I'm sure you are looking forward to having Daisy back home today. Please give both hammies a cuddle from me.

Re: Daisy diary
The hammies are home! Their cages are filthy so that's my evening sorted. Daisy has put on weight and Cotton is getting back a bit of what he lost.
Daisy spent the night in the play cage partly because her cage desperately needs a clean , partly because she has chewed a hole in it and partly because her Mumster was too tired to think straight. Anyway after work should be able to get it all sorted.

Re: Daisy diary
Cotton is looking much better now, he's fluffier and back up to 153g. He was 159g earlier in the year. Both hams are very active this evening racing about tutting about Mumster interfering in their homes. So I gave them their special surprises.....
Daisy was straight into Chateau Marguerite like a shot

And Cotton seems to like his, Hamton Court

But Daisy can't decide which way up is best

She's discovered she can reach the top of the cage if she stands on the top, now I've got two little monkeys.

Re: Daisy diary
Hehe. Your little monkeys are such lucky hamsters. I love buying stuff for my (ever increasing) hamster family.

Re: Daisy diary
Yippee! I'm glad that your two little monkeys are back and doing so well. I'm sure that they were probably overjoyed to get their amazing 'I miss you' surprises. Daisy bee-lining to her Chateau Marguerite and Cotton taking a nice stroll at his Hampton Court - what total bliss! I'm sure they had such a terrific time playing, but I'm not sure who was happier - the hammies or you and Dylan, lol! Great pics!

Re: Daisy diary
They look happy to be home which is gratifying and both hams gave me a nice cuddle today while Dylan is away for a bit. The Martyr to Hamsters is going to be pleased also, because Daisy is not in our bedroom any more. No more gnawing waking us up. Also we get to see more of her in the living room.
Daisy gave me a little nip this evening on my finger, but I'd been chopping chillies so maybe she won't try that again.

Re: Daisy diary
Glad Cotton is recovering his weight. He does look very well and happy there. I expect they are both happy to be back with you
